AFCONA 3280 is a special modified polysiloxane that is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters and ketones, but insoluble in water. It offers slip, defoaming, and improvement of surface characteristics without hurting intercoat adhesion. Additionally, it offers better hot water resistance than other polyether modified polysiloxanes.

AFCONA 2018 is well-suited for solvent-based wood finishes where foaming is a problem when applied by spraying.
