SABIC's Specialties Business NORYL™ N1900 resin is a non-reinforced blend of polyphenylene ether (PPE) + polystyrene (PS). This injection moldable grade contains non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardant and carries a UL94 flame rating of 5VA at 3mm and V0 at 1.5mm along with UL746C Outdoor Suitability rating of F1. NORYL™ N1900 resin exhibits high impact strength, dimensional stability, hydrolytic stability, and very low moisture absorption. This material is an excellent candidate for a variety of applications such as solar frames, unattended power supply (UPS) inverter/charger, indoor and outdoor electrical enclosures / housings / connectors, and wall plates / sockets / switches. *this grade is also referred to as NORYL™ N190 in several regions.

SABIC's Specialties Business LEXAN EXL9414 polycarbonate (PC) siloxane copolymer resin is a medium flow, non-chlorinated, non-brominated flame retardant opaque injection molding (IM) grade. This resin offers low temperature ductility, thin wall flame retardant capability, and in combination with excellent processability and release with opportunities for shorter IM cycle times compared to standard PC. LEXAN EXL9414 resin is a product available in wide range of opaque colors and may be an excellent candidate for a wide variety of applications, especially the housing of fast-charging mobile phones.

This extrudable grade has excellent chemical resistance, and high heat resistance. NORYL GTX8110P resin is anodizable, has low thermal conductivity, and is an excellent candidate for extruded thermal break applications. This product does not contain PFAS intentionally added during SHPP’s manufacturing process and are not expected to contain unintentional PFAS impurities. The material is RoHS compliant and is intrinsically flame retardant without the use of FR modifiers and offers UL94 V0 and 5VA ratings and FAR25.853 performance. The material may offer excellent dimension stability, strength, stiffness and creep resistance up to high temperature due to its high glass transition temperature of 217°C. This resin offers UL94 V0 @ 1.5mm flame retardancy based on non-bromine, non-chlorine FR systems, extreme low temperature ductility (-40 deg C) characteristics and excellent processability with opportunities for shorter IM cycle times compared to standard PC. LEXAN EXL9134 resin is available in a wide range of opaque colors and may be an excellent candidate for a wide range of applications.
