This injection moldable grade is optimized to allow for primer-less electrostatic painting. NORYL GTX679 resin has improved impact / elongation, and the mineral content allows for the material to be used in structural applications such as metal and thermoset resin replacement. SABIC's Specialties Business LNP ELCRES EXL7414 is based on Polycarbonate (PC) siloxane copolymer resin. It is a medium flow, non-chlorinated, non-brominated flame retardant opaque grade. It offers excellent low temperature ductility (-40C), extremely thin wall flame retardant capability with UL94 V0 at 0.6mm, and in combination with excellent processability and release with opportunities for shorter cycle times compared to standard Polycarbonate. It is available in wide range of opaque colors and is an excellent candidate for a wide variety of applications such as the battery cover of fast-charging mobile phones that need to be compliant with IEC62368-1.

The material has an optimized balance between surface resistivity and impact strength retention after hydro aging, and has excellent low temperature impact. The material is available in a wide range of dark and light colors, including UV stabilization. The material may offer excellent dimension stability, strength, stiffness and creep resistance up to high temperature due to its high glass transition temperature of 217°C.
